EVYD Technology defines roles and risks in new era of AI governance and fosters collaboration through strategic partnerships at DFCE 2026

BRUNEI, 5 August 2026 – EVYD Technology (EVYD) proudly supports the fourth edition of Digital Future Conference & Exhibition (DFCE), Brunei Darussalam’s leading platform that brings together government leaders, regulators, industry, academia, technology providers, and wider stakeholders to advance national dialogue on digital transformation and to shape the nation’s digital development.

As the event’s supporting partner and in line with DFCE 2026 objective to translate digital ambitions into measurable outcomes, EVYD General Manager Mr Abby Tan and EVYD Head of Technology Mr Perry Ning provided technological insights in the panel discussions about Getting AI Governance Right: Building Trust, Enabling Innovation and Supporting Digital Trade and about Making AI Deliver Real Value: From Innovation to Application respectively.

In his panel discussion, EVYD General Manager Mr Abby Tan highlighted that successful AI operationalization requires a proportional risk architecture that segments tools based on risk, alongside a clear shared responsibility matrix between developers and institutions. Furthermore, balancing local data sovereignty with international integration and establishing rigid compliance frameworks are critical to scaling adoption.

“If there was one thing we could change, it would be to introduce clearer, risk-based AI governance which would allow low-risk AI to be adopted more quickly. High risk applications would continue to require stronger safeguards and meaningful human oversight. This approach would protect society while allowing responsible innovation to move forward,” said EVYD General Manager Mr Abby Tan.

EVYD Head of Technology Mr Perry Ning highlighted during his presentation that scalable AI requires more than powerful models, and that trusted data, modern application
platforms and secure infrastructure form are the essential backbone for deploying AI reliability, responsibility and effectively across organizations, before joining other panellists in further discussion about making AI deliver real value.

At the 3-day event, EVYD, in collaboration with UNN, showcased a localized GPU Compute Platform Proof-of-Concept (POC) built for data sovereignty, local deployment, private cloud with AI capabilities, enterprise-grade security and regulatory compliance.

Through EVYD’s AI technological expertise, businesses can start AI development in minutes, maximize GPU utilization and minimize infrastructure cost, build their own AI models, support end-to-end AI innovation within one platform, and optimize performance across teams on home ground (locally) at UNN Data Centres.

EVYD was honoured to have received Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Mohammad Riza Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications yesterday afternoon and showcased to Yang Berhormat Dato several used cases on EVYD AI Open Platform which is designed to process data packages and optimize work tasks.

Businesses interested to find out more about EVYD Technology or GPU Compute Platform POC may drop by DFCE 2026 at Munawwarah Hall, Setia Point until 6 August 2026.
