Timor-Leste’s Delegation Visits EVYD Technology in Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 6 May 2026 – EVYD Technology hosted a courtesy call from Her Excellency the Vice Prime Minister II, Coordinating Minister for Social Affairs and Minister of Rural Development and Community Housing, the Minister of Health, the Director General of Corporate Services, and the Director General of Ambulance and Emergency Services of Timor-Leste.

The delegation toured EVYD’s campus, including the exhibition corner, achievement wall, BruHealth history wall, and a display of the company’s research and collaboration portfolio. The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam’s disease surveillance centre.

BruHealth, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam, has evolved from a pandemic response tool into national infrastructure for population and individual health management.

A tour of EVYD’s campus and Brunei’s national disease surveillance centre

The delegation toured EVYD Technology’s campus, including the exhibition corner, BruHealth history wall, and a display of the company’s research and collaboration portfolio. The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam’s national disease surveillance centre — the country’s command centre for outbreak monitoring, powered by EVYDENCE, EVYD’s population health intelligence platform.

Seeing the surveillance centre in operation offered the delegation a view of what national-scale digital health infrastructure looks like in practice: real-time data flowing from across the health system into a single operational picture available to ministry decision-makers.

BruHealth: from pandemic response to national infrastructure

BruHealth, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam, has evolved from a pandemic response tool into national infrastructure for population and individual health management. What began as a system for contact tracing and vaccination tracking now supports a broader set of health services — connecting clinicians, policy teams, and citizens through a shared data layer.

That evolution is part of what draws attention from beyond Brunei’s borders. The Timor-Leste delegation is the latest in a series of high-level visits to EVYD’s campus and the national health infrastructure it supports. Singapore’s Minister for Health, members of Brunei’s Legislative Council, Brunei’s Minister of Development, and the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications have each visited to see the system firsthand.

A pattern of regional interest

The composition of these delegations — cutting across health, development, transport, and legislative oversight — points to a recognition that digital health infrastructure is not a health ministry concern alone. The systems that support disease surveillance, health data interoperability, and population health management intersect with national development planning, digital infrastructure, and cross-border cooperation.

For Timor-Leste, a nation in the early stages of building its own health system capacity, the visit offered a reference point for how a country of comparable scale has approached digital health at the national level.
